What dishes will we cook?

There is no fixed menu for the class. The dishes are chosen based on seasonal ingredients, local availability, and the group’s dietary preferences.

The class focuses on traditional Costa Rican home cooking. A typical experience includes preparing a complete meal with a main dish, rice and beans, a vegetable side, handmade corn tortillas, and a dessert.

Depending on the day and the season, dishes may include classics such as gallo pinto, casado-style components, picadillos made with local vegetables like chayote or arracache, sweet plantains, or other traditional sides and desserts.

Exact dishes may vary, but the experience always reflects authentic Costa Rican home cooking and can be adapted for vegetarians, vegans, and other dietary needs.
